Venezuela Revokes Brazil's Custodian Role Over Argentina's Diplomatic Missions Amid Terrorism Claims
Venezuela has revoked Brazil's permission to act as custodian of Argentina's diplomatic missions, alleging that anti-government opponents were plotting terrorist acts from the Argentine ambassador's residence. This decision, effective immediately, follows the refuge of opponents like Magalli Meda in the compound. Diplomatic tensions have since led to a breakdown in relations with Argentina.

The Venezuelan government has rescinded permission for Brazil to serve as the custodian of Argentina's diplomatic missions within the country, accusing anti-government opponents of plotting terrorist activities from the Argentine ambassador's residence.
Venezuela's foreign ministry announced on Saturday that Brazil had been notified of the decision, effective immediately. The ministry cited what it claimed was evidence — though unshared — of the conspiracies from those sheltering in the diplomatic mission.
Magalli Meda, former campaign chief for opposition leader María Corina Machado, is among several opponents who sought refuge at the Argentine ambassador's residence after facing arrest orders for alleged political violence. In response, President Maduro severed diplomatic ties with Argentina's right-wing government and requested Brazil to protect the asylum seekers. No comments have been received from Argentina or Brazil regarding the situation. Armored vehicles from SEBIN political police and power cuts have surrounded the Argentine residence, increasing concerns about a potential raid.
