In a stunning display at the Paris Paralympics, India's Navdeep Singh secured the silver medal in the men's javelin throw F41 final with a personal best effort of 47.32 metres.
Singh, a 23-year-old para-athlete from Haryana, began the competition with a foul. However, his second attempt of 46.39 metres catapulted him to second place, setting the stage for drama.
With a remarkable third throw, Singh shattered the Paralympic record and surged into the lead. His achievement was short-lived as Iran's Beit Sayah Sadegh claimed the gold, surpassing Singh's mark with a record-breaking throw of 47.64 metres in his fifth attempt. Singh's silver brought India's medal tally to 29, including six gold, 10 silver, and 13 bronze.
