Actor Channing Tatum has detailed his preparation for his role in the highly-anticipated American thriller film 'Blink Twice', directed by Zoe Kravitz, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The role marks a departure from his previous characters, presenting new challenges.

Tatum plays the tech billionaire Slater King in the mystery thriller, which is also his fiancée Zoe Kravitz's directorial debut. 'It's the first time I've ever played anyone like this,' Tatum said, explaining the distinctiveness of the role. He further noted, 'Every character I play, I usually have some sort of love for or a connection to.'

However, 'Blink Twice' demanded a different approach. 'I don't think I'll ever tell anybody what I had to create inside my head to play this person,' Tatum revealed, describing the character as a psychopath. The film narrates the story of King, who meets cocktail waitress Frida, played by Naomi Ackie, and invites her to his island. As strange events unfold, Frida begins to question her reality.

Director Kravitz added that the thriller's tension is derived from characters being trapped in unfamiliar surroundings, emphasizing the power dynamics at play. 'I wanted to create a situation where the characters had to stay and confront the disintegration of power dynamics,' Kravitz said. 'Blink Twice' is scheduled for release on August 23.
