The Emmy Awards nominations this year may herald a new era in TV acclaim. With former giants like 'Succession,' 'The White Lotus,' and 'The Last of Us' exiting the race, fresh contenders such as FX's 'Shogun' and Netflix's 'The Crown' are poised to dominate the drama category.
Comedy could see a familiar leader in 'The Bear,' while FX may emulate HBO's past success with 'The Bear' in comedy and 'Fargo' in limited series. 'The Bear,' in its second season, showcases chef Carmen 'Carmie' Berzatto's journey to revamp a sandwich shop into an elite restaurant.
Notable performances may also see nods, including Jennifer Aniston for 'The Morning Show,' Emma Stone in 'The Curse,' and Robert Downey Jr. in 'The Sympathizer.' The Emmy nominations will be announced by Sheryl Lee Ralph and Tony Hale, with the ceremony scheduled for Sept. 15 at the Peacock Theater.
