In a candid interview, Kim Ji Hoon, the enigmatic actor, delves into his mesmerizing portrayal of the malevolent character Choi in Director Lee Chung Hyeon's captivating Netflix production, 'Ballerina.' Choi is a character that oozes suavity and charisma but hides a sinister core, one who ruthlessly exploits women using his beguiling appearance, chiseled physique, and opulent sports cars as lures.

The casting of Kim Ji Hoon as Choi wasn't a snap decision. In fact, it prompted the actor to engage in profound introspection. "This character really made me think. I was genuinely hesitant about taking on this role because he does things that many, particularly women, would utterly abhor," Kim Ji Hoon candidly shared. "Even my agency urged a cautious approach."

However, what ultimately convinced Kim to accept the challenging role was the compelling script and his unwavering faith in director Lee Chung Hyeon and co-star Jeon Jong Seo. Reflecting on his decision, he confided, "I told myself, 'This won't taint my filmography; if executed well, it could leave a lasting impact on people.'"

The outcome, as it turns out, couldn't have been more gratifying for Kim. "When I watched the final edit, I fell in love with it. It exuded an incredible sense of style and trendiness that I hadn't anticipated during filming," he enthused, paying a heartfelt tribute to the director, "It only reaffirmed his undeniable prowess as a filmmaker."

When questioned about the most challenging scene he had to tackle, Kim Ji Hoon brought up the movie's climactic beach scene. He recounted, "It was a scene where I had to lay bare all my emotions and pour my heart into the performance. We began shooting as the sun dipped below the horizon in late October; it was rather chilly, and we continued filming until the sun emerged on the horizon."

As for his co-star, Jeon Jong Seo, Kim Ji Hoon showered her with unreserved praise. "Acting is an art, and Jong Seo is a consummate artist," he acknowledged. "While individuals like myself have to toil incessantly to gain even a modicum of recognition as artists, Jong Seo effortlessly transforms her every role into a masterpiece."

Addressing the public's fascination with her and Director Lee's romantic relationship, Kim Ji Hoon admitted to feeling occasional envy due to their "profound affection." However, he clarified emphatically that their personal bond "had no bearing on the filming process in any way."
