Recap of Spy X Family Season 2 Episode 1

Episode 1 of Spy x Family Season 2 kicked off with a bang. While in the midst of a mission to dismantle the extremist group Red Circus, Yor, the family's lethal assassin, was shot and wounded. The following day, her husband, Loid, took her out on a date, believing her pain was somehow his fault. Meanwhile, Anya and Franky covertly followed them.

Unfortunately, Yor's persistent discomfort from her injury put a damper on the date, derailing Loid's well-intentioned plans. Matters took an intriguing turn when, during a dinner at a restaurant, a waiter, who happened to be a survivor of the Red Circus, recognized Yor and sought revenge by attempting to poison her with blowfish venom. However, his sinister plan failed thanks to Anya's quick thinking, forcing him to abandon his vengeful intentions. Strangely enough, the toxin from the blowfish venom ended up numbing Yor's pain, allowing her to enjoy the rest of the date.

The next morning, the effects of the toxin wore off, and Yor returned to her usual, less-than-pleasant disposition, leaving Loid bewildered once more.
