However, Taejin assures him that all he needs is his strength, and he may even get to handle VIP patients if he performs well.

As Jihan begins working at the company, he learns about the VIP patients' bifurcation and suspects that they may have a connection to Grimm's shady work. However, when an epilepsy patient is brought in, Jihan witnesses some questionable practices at the company. The ambulance crew demands a large sum of money from the patient's mother to transport him, leaving her in a difficult situation. Jihan is shocked by what he sees and hears, but his co-worker tells him that he's just an employee, and his job is only to transport patients.

Later on, a drunk and injured patient is brought in, and Jihan struggles to handle him. When his co-worker punches the patient in the ribs, Jihan confronts him, saying that it's not the right way to treat patients. However, his co-worker is unfazed and tells him that the ambulance doesn't have any cameras, so they can get away with anything. Meanwhile, the company is under investigation for increasing crimes such as assault, sexual assault, and stealing.

Towards the end of the chapter, Jihan deals with a patient who demands his money back and causes a commotion. Jihan takes care of the patient with one blow, which was Taejin's plan to test his abilities. As a result, Jihan is offered the opportunity to handle VIP patients, but he realizes that it may involve doing shady work, such as imprisoning normal people in psychiatric wards for money, using the 24th section of the mental health law.
