In Prayagraj, government job aspirants intensified their protests against the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission's (UPPSC) decision to schedule the RO-ARO and PCS preliminary examinations on separate days. The aspirants demand a return to a single-day testing schedule.
On November 5, UPPSC announced plans for the Review Officer and Assistant Review Officer exams to take place over two days, and the Provincial Civil Service exams on separate dates, sparking widespread discontent among candidates. The protesters besieged the UPPSC headquarters with demands for the reconsideration of this move.
The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad and other groups have also called for swift resolution of the issue, emphasizing the need for transparency and fairness in exam procedures. UPPSC maintains that logistical hurdles necessitate the multi-day schedule to ensure integrity and security during the examination process.
