Operations at the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Institute of Medical Excellence-Medical College began in the administrative block of the local university.
The institution's setup, as announced after a board meeting led by Lt Governor Manoj Sinha, includes a strategic interim location at the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University. This arrangement kick-starts the college's mission to deliver stellar medical education and services.
With a starting intake of 50 MBBS students, the college ambitiously plans to enhance its capacity to 100 seats. This development signals a significant step in advancing healthcare accessibility and education, underlining the Shrine Board's commitment to the region's medical services.
