ABVP-led DUSU Announces Selection Committee for Upcoming Polls, Considers Female President Nominee

In a significant move ahead of the Delhi University Students Union (DUSU) elections, the Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarti Parishad (ABVP) announced that its selection committee, aimed at nominating candidates, will be formed on Saturday.
In a press conference held at the student union's office in North Campus, the outgoing ABVP-led DUSU mentioned that the committee will also consider nominating a female candidate for the president's post, based on student feedback from the pre-campaign. The committee's chosen candidates will be announced soon.
Highlighting its accomplishments, outgoing DUSU president Tushar Dedha cited the establishment of a Student Centre in Delhi University as a major achievement. Dedha also mentioned various initiatives, including internships and addressing rent control for students. The new DUSU elections will take place on September 27, with results expected the next day.
