Over 75 NEET-UG candidates from each examination centre in Sikar, Rajasthan, have achieved scores exceeding 600 marks, with certain centres reporting as many as 150 high scorers. A detailed analysis reveals that the average number of candidates scoring above 600 in Sikar is substantially higher than the national average.
For example, at Aravali Public School, more than 90 out of 942 candidates scored above 600, and seven scored above 700. Similarly, Mody Institute of Technology had over 110 candidates achieving scores above 600. The numbers at Vishwa Bharti PG College and Tagore PG College also exceeded 75 at each centre.
In total, Sikar saw over 4200 candidates score above 600 out of 27,000 examinees. Nationally, 30,204 candidates scored 650 and above, placing them in the top 1.3 percent of the 23.22 lakh candidates. Sikar's impressive performance could secure its candidates about 2,037 seats in government medical colleges.
The results were declared on June 5, following a Supreme Court order amid ongoing allegations of exam irregularities, including paper leaks. The court mandated that results be published while masking the identities of candidates. Further hearings on petitions for cancellation, re-test, and a court-monitored investigation into the malpractices will resume on July 22.
