Official statistics reveal a promising decrease in road accidents and associated fatalities, highlighting a 4.6% fall in overall incidents, with fatalities dropping 16% compared to the same timeframe last year.

This year has seen 1,094 accidents recorded by March 15, down from 1,147 the previous year. Fatal accidents have notably decreased from 320 to 263, marking an 18% reduction. Additionally, the number of fatalities decreased from 324 to 271 deaths.

Despite this progress, simple accidents rose slightly by 1.9%, while non-injury accidents saw a substantial 40.7% decline. Law enforcement attributes this improvement to stringent enforcement and awareness initiatives, underscoring the need for ongoing caution to sustain this trend.
