ITI Limited Wins Big in BharatNet Phase-3 with Rs 4,559 Crores Order
ITI Limited has become the lowest bidder for three major packages in the BharatNet Phase-3 project, covering Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Himachal Pradesh, West Bengal, and Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The telecom giant secured orders worth Rs 4,559 crores across challenging terrains.

State-owned telecom manufacturer ITI Limited announced on Sunday that it has emerged as the lowest bidder for the BharatNet Phase-3 project in the states of Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, and Manipur, securing an order worth Rs 1,537 crores.
Additionally, ITI Limited secured bids in Himachal Pradesh, West Bengal, and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, bringing the total order value to Rs 4,559 crores. The BharatNet Phase-3 project, which aims to enhance internet connectivity in remote areas, is divided into 16 packages across various states and union territories.
BSNL issued tenders for the project under the Design Build Operate and Maintain model, seeking expertise for the Middle Mile Network. Rajesh Rai, Chairman and Managing Director of ITI Limited, expressed excitement over winning key packages in challenging terrains, citing the company's extensive experience in optical fiber networks.
