The Vizhinjam International Seaport in Kerala has marked a significant achievement, handling over 100,000 TEUs and welcoming 46 ships within just four months, according to state Ports Minister V N Vasavan.
Describing the port as the state's 'golden coast,' Vasavan emphasized its growing influence in global trade standards. The port has rapidly become a pivotal player since its trial run commenced four months ago.
By November 9, 100,807 TEUs have been processed, with the world's largest cargo ships increasingly docking at Kerala's shores, paving the way for what Vasavan believes is the beginning of a transformative era for the region.
