China and Slovakia: A Strategic Partnership for the Future

In a bid to strengthen bilateral relations, China has pledged to enhance cooperation with Slovakia in sectors such as new energy, transport, logistics, and infrastructure development. President Xi Jinping made this announcement during Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico's visit, as reported by Xinhua news agency on Friday.
President Xi emphasized the creation of a new intergovernmental committee as crucial to expanding cooperation in various fields, including water resources management. He encouraged Chinese enterprises to invest in Slovakia and invited Slovak companies to explore opportunities in the Chinese market.
China has upgraded its relationship with Slovakia to a strategic partnership, offering Slovak citizens a 15-day visa-free entry. Meanwhile, discussions also touched upon the ongoing Ukraine crisis, with China supporting efforts to promote peace talks.
