In a pivotal diplomatic discussion, US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan connected with his Indian counterpart Ajit Doval via phone to deliberate on crucial regional security issues, reiterating the need to enhance stability in the Indo-Pacific and beyond. This dialogue highlights the blossoming strategic partnership between India and the United States, underpinned by common democratic values and mutual interests, according to the White House.

The advisors "welcomed progress in the bilateral partnership", notably the upcoming Initiative on Critical and Emerging Technology (iCET) Intersessional and Indian Ocean Dialogue. They explored avenues for greater cooperation in critical domains like clean energy supply chains and defense, indicating a shared resolve to strengthen ties amid shifting global dynamics.

Relations between India and the US have matured into a "global strategic partnership", focusing on shared democratic principles and intersecting interests across diverse sectors. In September, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Joe Biden convened on the Quad Summit's sidelines in Delaware, exchanging views on enhancing bilateral cooperation and discussing regional issues like the Indo-Pacific.

Prime Minister Modi lauded President Biden's pivotal contributions in accelerating the India-US partnership, noting the visits' role in enriching bilateral relations' dynamism and depth. The Prime Minister stressed that the nations enjoy a comprehensive global strategic partnership encompassing all human endeavor aspects, driven by shared democratic principles and vibrant people-to-people connections.

Currently, the US-India partnership spans numerous fields, such as trade, defense, education, cyber security, civil nuclear energy, space, clean energy, agriculture, and health. Interpersonal exchanges and bipartisan support in both countries continue to fortify this robust relationship, underscoring how India and the United States are jointly navigating a complex global landscape.
