Tragic Collision Claims Lives in Kalinjar

An elderly man and his son died in a tragic motorcycle accident involving a pick-up truck near Kalinjar village. The victims, Ramnivas and Santosh from Lakhpur village, were en route to a local holy site when the collision occurred. Both were declared dead while being transferred to a medical facility.

In a tragic incident, an elderly man and his son were killed in a head-on collision with a pick-up truck on Tuesday morning, police reported.

The fatal accident happened near Kalinjar village, within the jurisdiction of the Aliganj police station, as Ramnivas, 68, and his son Santosh, 45, both from Lakhpur village, were traveling to Baba Neem Karoli Dham in Farrukhabad district.

The police received a distress call via the 112 helpline, prompting a team to rush to the scene. Despite being quickly transported from the Aliganj community health center to a medical college in Etah, the duo succumbed to their injuries en route, confirmed Circle Officer Sudhanshu Shekhar. Their bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination.
