In a tragic accident on Sunday evening, a helicopter crash in Houston's Second Ward resulted in the death of four individuals, including a child. The crash also destroyed a radio tower, officials reported.

The Robinson R44 II helicopter had departed from Ellington Field, located about 15 miles away, according to Houston Mayor John Whitmire. The helicopter either struck a cable or the tower before the crash, said Houston Police Chief J Noe Diaz.

Emergency services quickly responded, preventing the further spread of a subsequent grass fire. The National Transportation Safety Board and other agencies are currently investigating the cause of this unfortunate incident.
