GTPL Hathway's Profit Drops Despite Revenue Boost

GTPL Hathway Ltd, a leading provider of cable and internet services, reported a substantial drop of 61.7% in consolidated net profit for the quarter ending September 2024, bringing profits down to Rs 13.74 crore.
Compared to the same period last year, where the company posted a net profit of Rs 35.87 crore, this decline is significant. However, the company experienced a 9.8% rise in total revenue, which reached Rs 855.56 crore during the September quarter, demonstrating growth in its service outputs.
The revenue from GTPL's Cable TV business contributed Rs 707.20 crore, and internet services brought in Rs 137.45 crore in Q2 FY25. Despite the profit decline, shares of GTPL Hathway increased by 1.56%, ending at Rs 165.65 on the BSE.
