Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, and Tata Motors faced declines in wholesales for September as the companies curtailed dispatches to dealers to mitigate inventory buildup amidst a downturn in demand.

Maruti Suzuki India witnessed a 4% dip in total domestic passenger vehicle wholesales to 1,44,962 units compared to the previous year, while Hyundai Motor India's domestic dispatches decreased by 6% to 51,101 units.

Tata Motors saw an 8% drop in total passenger vehicle sales, including electric vehicles, in the domestic market to 41,063 units. However, Mahindra & Mahindra and Toyota Kirloskar Motor reported robust performances, with 24% and 14% increases, respectively, in wholesales.
