Delhi Court Extends Interim Bail for Lok Sabha MP Engineer Rashid in Terror Funding Case
A Delhi court has extended the interim bail of Lok Sabha MP Engineer Rashid until October 12. Rashid, who has been in jail since 2019 over a terror funding case, was granted bail to campaign in the J&K assembly elections. Additional conditions were imposed to ensure he does not influence witnesses or the investigation.

A Delhi court on Tuesday extended the interim bail granted to Lok Sabha MP Engineer Rashid in a terror funding case until October 12.
Additional Sessions Judge Chander Jit Singh directed Rashid to surrender before the concerned jail on October 13. Rashid, who has been in jail since 2019 under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), sought bail to campaign in the J&K assembly elections.
The court had earlier granted Rashid interim bail on a personal bond of Rs 2 lakh. Rashid's name emerged during an investigation of Kashmiri businessman Zahoor Watali, leading to charges against multiple people including separatist leader Yasin Malik.
