American auto major Ford Motor announced on Friday that it is preparing to utilize its Chennai manufacturing plant for the export of vehicles. The company has informed the Tamil Nadu government of its plans.
Minister for TRB Rajaa, currently in the United States with Chief Minister M K Stalin to attract investors, emphasized the success of Stalin's efforts to reposition 'Brand Tamil Nadu.' Rajaa's comments followed Ford's declaration, noting the state government's intense year-long interaction with the company.
Rajaa highlighted the Chief Minister's consistent efforts to showcase Tamil Nadu's manufacturing capabilities and skilled workforce. Recently, Stalin engaged with Ford's senior management to explore renewing their three-decade partnership.
