Rajasthan CM Sparks Investment Talks with Japanese Leaders, Invites to Global Summit

A high-level Rajasthan delegation led by CM Bhajan Lal Sharma met with Japanese officials in Tokyo, including Honda and Wafuku Hospital, to discuss investment, health services, and cultural exchange. Sharma invited the Japan government to the 'Rising Rajasthan' Global Investment Summit 2024 in Jaipur.

A high-level delegation from the Government of Rajasthan, led by Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, engaged in a significant meeting with senior officials from Wafuku Hospital and Home Care Group in Tokyo on Thursday.

The delegation also conducted one-on-one interactions with executives from major Japanese firms such as Honda Motor Company Limited, Wafuku Hospitals, Home Care Group, and TOHO Group. The Japanese company officials displayed interest in collaborating with the Rajasthan government to enhance health services and promote cultural exchanges between Japan and Rajasthan.

Honda Motor Company's Executive Vice President Aoyama met with the delegation and expressed gratitude for the support received from the Rajasthan government. He emphasized India's crucial role in Honda's global strategy and hinted at Rajasthan's importance in the company's long-term plans. The Chief Minister invited Honda to establish an electric vehicle (EV) manufacturing plant in the state.

The delegation also met officials at the Indian Embassy in Japan, including Ambassador Sibi George. Chief Minister Sharma held talks with Japanese ministers, seeking support for investments in Rajasthan. Meetings were held with Ishii Taku, Parliamentary Vice-Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), and Ishibashi Rintaro, Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT). Sharma extended an invitation to the Japan government to attend the 'Rising Rajasthan' Global Investment Summit 2024, scheduled for December in Jaipur, aiming to establish Rajasthan as the investment capital of India.
