Ajit Manocha, CEO of key electronics industry body SEMI, has hailed the reception at SEMICON India 2024 as 'unprecedented' and 'exponential.' He emphasized the event's massive scale, which brought over 100 CEOs and CXOs from around the globe, representing the entire electronic supply chain for semiconductors.

Manocha expressed strong optimism regarding the industry's commitment to becoming India's trusted partner in establishing a semiconductor hub. He noted that the exponential growth model in India positions the semiconductor sector as foundational to global industries and humanity.

The three-day SEMICON India 2024 conference commenced on Wednesday, highlighting the country's semiconductor strategy and policy aimed at making India a global semiconductor hub. Tata Electronics CEO Randhir Thakur thanked the Prime Minister for his vision in hosting this historic gathering, pointing to rapid governmental approvals for key projects like the commercial fab in Dholera and the OSAT factory in Assam.

NXP Semiconductors CEO Kurt Sievers spoke of the transformational journey this event marks for India, emphasizing ambition, trust, and collaboration as keys to success. Renesas CEO Hidetoshi Shibata congratulated the Prime Minister and announced expanding operations in India, while IMEC CEO Luc Van Den Hove underlined the significance of a reliable supply chain, highlighting India's potential as a trusted partner due to its democratic framework.
