Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced a significant stride in the state's electronic industry, attributing it to persistent efforts. Speaking at the inaugural session of SEMICON India 2024 in Noida, Adityanath revealed that UP's mobile manufacturing units now account for over 55% of mobiles and over 50% of mobile components produced in India.

Under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, significant advancements have been made in the IT sector, semiconductors, data centers, and electronic manufacturing. 'The efforts taken in Uttar Pradesh in the last few years have resulted in 55% of the country's mobile manufacturing and 50% of mobile component production being done in Uttar Pradesh,' said the Chief Minister.

Uttar Pradesh has emerged as a major exporter of consumer electronics, with industry giants like Samsung investing in the region. The UP Semiconductor Policy 2024 aims to create an investment-friendly environment, offering incentives like capital subsidy, interest subvention, and relaxed land and electricity charges. Over 450 online services via Nivesh Mitra ensure ease of doing business, making UP a top achiever in this category.
