Tragic Highway Collision Claims 15 Lives in Uttar Pradesh

A tragic road accident on National Highway 93 in Uttar Pradesh resulted in the deaths of at least 15 people, including four women and multiple children, as a roadways bus collided with a van from behind, officials reported.
Thirteen other individuals sustained injuries and were promptly admitted to a government hospital for treatment. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed district officials to expedite relief measures and ensure proper care for the injured.
Superintendent of Police Nipun Agarwal stated that the accident transpired when the bus attempted to overtake the van on the Agra-Aligarh National Highway. The collision occurred near Kanwarpur village, approximately 10 kilometers from the district headquarters. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Droupadi Murmu have expressed deep condolences and announced financial aid for the victims' families.
