A serious road accident on National Highway 93 involving a bus and a van led to the death of at least 12 people on Friday, officials reported.
Sixteen others sustained injuries and have been admitted to a government hospital. Four of the injuries are considered critical, according to authorities.
Superintendent of Police Nipun Agarwal confirmed that the accident occurred when the bus, attempting to overtake the van, crashed into it on the Agra-Aligarh National Highway. The passengers were traveling from Hathras to Agra.
