Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal on Friday extended an invitation to the steel industry to address the issue of ''unfair'' competition posed by low-cost Chinese imports.
During a media interaction, Goyal proposed a border adjustment tax as a measure to protect domestic steel players, ensuring the sector's vitality.
The minister also underscored the significance of the India Middle East Europe Economic Corridor (IMEEC) to enhance economic integration and maritime security.
