Jet fuel prices have been slashed by 4.6%, bringing relief to airlines as fuel costs constitute nearly 40% of their operating expenses. The reduction, amounting to Rs 4,495.5 per kilolitre in the national capital, follows two consecutive monthly price hikes.

In stark contrast, the price of commercial LPG, used predominantly in hotels and restaurants, has been hiked by Rs 39 to Rs 1,691.50 per 19-kg cylinder. This increase marks the second straight monthly rise, erasing some of the accumulated reductions from earlier this year.

Despite these changes, the cost of domestic cooking gas remains stable, with no revisions in rates for household LPG cylinders. Petrol and diesel prices also remain unchanged, maintaining their rates from mid-March.
