Sunday Services Launched on Howrah Maidan-Esplanade Metro
Starting from September 1, the East-West Metro's Howrah Maidan-Esplanade stretch will offer Sunday services. Trains will run every 15 minutes from 2:15 pm to 9:45 pm. A total of 62 trains will operate on Sundays as an experimental service.

In a recent development, the East-West Metro's Howrah Maidan-Esplanade stretch will now offer Sunday services, officials announced on Thursday.
Beginning September 1, trains under the Green Line-2, a section of which traverses beneath the river Ganga, will run at 15-minute intervals. According to an official release, the first trains will depart both Esplanade and Howrah Maidan stations at 2:15 pm on Sundays.
The concluding trains will leave the terminals at 9:45 pm, with a total of 62 trains running on an experimental basis. Services along this corridor originally commenced in mid-March.
