Tata Group's Ambitious Drive: Empowering 4,000 Women from Uttarakhand
Tata Group plans to employ 4,000 women from Uttarakhand at its Tamil Nadu and Karnataka plants. The initiative, outlined by CHRO Ranjan Bandopadhyay, targets candidates with class 10 or 12 qualifications for NPS and ITI diploma for NATS programmes. Benefits include salary, accommodation, food, and transportation.
Tata Group has announced a groundbreaking initiative to employ 4,000 women from Uttarakhand at its manufacturing plants located in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. This move aims to empower women with job opportunities under the NPS and NATS programmes, as confirmed by Chief Human Resource Officer, Ranjan Bandopadhyay, in a letter to the state planning department.
The hiring process will soon commence, aiming to recruit women who have cleared class 10 or 12 examinations for the NPS programmes, while candidates for the NATS programmes require an ITI diploma in addition to these qualifications. This was revealed in an official release issued on Monday.
Once selected, the women will be appointed as shop floor technicians and will receive a fixed salary along with comprehensive benefits such as accommodation, food, transportation, and other facilities. Tata Electronics Pvt Ltd will spearhead this significant recruitment drive at its Hosur and Kolar plants.
