Russian authorities in the western Kursk region have initiated the installation of concrete shelters to safeguard civilians during an ongoing Ukrainian incursion.
Acting Regional Governor Alexei Smirnov announced on Telegram that city officials in Kursk, the regional capital, are constructing the shelters in high-traffic areas, including 60 bus stations.
Similar protective measures will be extended to two additional towns in the region to ensure civilian safety amid the conflict, he added.
