A shipment containing medicines intended for cancer patients triggered an alarm for radioactive material in the cargo area of the Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport in Lucknow. The alert prompted a swift response from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF).

The NDRF was called in to investigate the cause of the alarm. Upon thorough examination, the team declared the shipment safe, according to a senior airport official on Saturday.

In a subsequent press release, Adani Group, which manages the airport, emphasized that the airport operations were not disrupted, dismissing any rumors of casualties or threats to life. Airport functions continue to run smoothly.
