Adani Group's APSEZ on Wednesday revealed plans to establish a 2 million tonne capacity cement grinding unit in Guna and a propellant production facility at Shivpuri, Madhya Pradesh, with a total investment of Rs 3,500 crore.

During the Gwalior Regional Industry Conclave, APSEZ MD Karan Adani confirmed the developments, emphasizing the alignment of the Shivpuri unit with India's Aatmanirbhar mission, aiming to shift India from being a defence importer to an exporter. He mentioned that these initiatives are expected to generate over 3,500 direct and indirect jobs.

Karan Adani also highlighted that the Adani Group has already invested Rs 18,250 crore in Madhya Pradesh, creating 12,000 jobs. Recognizing Gwalior's rapid growth as a tourism hub and a key trade center, he noted the city's increasing attraction for investment across various sectors. The Adani defence facility in Gwalior is now India's largest small arms plant, positioning Madhya Pradesh as a global leader in small arms manufacturing.

Moreover, Karan Adani praised Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav's efforts in driving economic growth. Through the Adani Foundation, the group has impacted 80,000 households, touching 3 lakh lives with healthcare, education, sustainable livelihood, and women empowerment initiatives. A new women-owned jacket production center in Badarwas will soon be established as part of their ongoing women empowerment programs.
