Prime Minister Narendra Modi underscored the transformative impact of Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) on inclusive development, describing it as revolutionary, during the inaugural leaders' session of the Voice of Global South Summit 3.0.

He announced the creation of the Global DPI Repository under India's G-20 presidency, lauding the multilateral consensus and agreements with 12 Global South partners to share the 'India Stack'.

Modi introduced India's 'Social Impact Fund' with an initial USD 25 million contribution and stressed the need for the Global South countries to unite and learn from each other. He highlighted India's commitment to mutual trade, inclusive growth, women-led development, and sustainable goals.

Modi also pointed out significant strides in financial inclusion via Unified Payments Interface (UPI) and advancements in education through initiatives like the Global South Excellence Centre. He emphasized global health security efforts, mentioning the Arogya Maitri vision.

In his address, PM Modi called for a unified approach to represent the voices and aspirations of the Global South in global forums and noted India's effort to reshape the G-20, including the inclusion of the African Union. The summit aims to facilitate discussions on development priorities among Global South nations, with the 3rd Voice of Global South Summit scheduled for August 17, 2024.
