Bihar CM Sets Ambitious Job Creation Target Amid Development Push

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar announced a new target of providing 12 lakh government jobs by next year. Under the 'Saat Nischay Part-2' scheme, the state previously targeted 10 lakh jobs, of which 5.16 lakh have been fulfilled. Kumar also thanked Prime Minister Modi for a special development package.

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has raised the state government's job creation target to 12 lakh government jobs by next year. Speaking at Gandhi Maidan, Kumar highlighted Bihar's development and inclusive growth plans.

Initially, the state aimed to provide 10 lakh jobs under the 'Saat Nischay Part-2' scheme, launched in 2020. 'We have already offered government jobs to 5.16 lakh people and finalized plans for 2 lakh more,' he noted. The government has far exceeded its earlier goal of creating employment for 10 lakh people, generating over 24 lakh opportunities, with another 10 lakh anticipated next year.

Chief Minister Kumar also expressed gratitude towards Prime Minister Modi for a new special development package for Bihar, which encompasses projects across various sectors such as road construction, industries, and tourism. Emphasizing law and order, Kumar affirmed that increasing the Bihar police force to 2.27 lakh officers and fostering social harmony remain top priorities.
