Progress on the Mangalore plastic park project in Karnataka has reached 55%, according to Minister of State for Chemicals and Fertilisers Anupriya Patel.
In a written reply to the Lok Sabha, Patel revealed that litigation involving 9.33 acres of land has delayed some project activities. The park, approved in January 2022 with a budget of Rs 62.78 crore, is expected to be completed within five years.
The central government has committed Rs 31.38 crore to the project. Despite delays, no cost escalation has been reported, keeping the endeavor within its approved budget and timeframe.
