Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Wednesday dismissed accusations of 'vendetta politics' concerning the establishment of a ministerial committee that will review and coordinate investigations into various scams from the previous BJP government.

Siddaramaiah emphasized that the panel's primary objective is to fast-track the probe into over 21 identified cases and provide guidance to the government and Cabinet on subsequent actions. He noted that the committee will deliver its report within two months, aiming for accountability and transparency.

Home Minister G Parameshwara, heading the new committee, added that the pending cases would be reviewed imminently, ensuring that no case 'catches dust without action.' He reiterated that the government holds the responsibility to its citizens and emphasized that the committee's formation aimed to accelerate the investigative process. Various ministers, including Law and Parliamentary Affairs Minister H K Patil, Revenue Minister Krishna Byre Gowda, Rural Development Minister Priyank Kharge and Labour Minister Santosh Lad, are part of this initiative.
