Kolkata Airport Inaugurates Aviation Security Week and Upgraded Facilities

The Airports Authority of India is hosting Aviation Security Week at Kolkata Airport from August 5-11, aiming to highlight the importance of vigilance and proactive security measures, an official announced. The thematic focus for this year's 'Aviation Security Culture Week 2024' is 'See it, Say it, Secure it,' according to the statement.
Nivedita Dubey, Regional Executive Director for the Eastern Region, and Dr. Pravat Ranjan Beuria, Airport Director of NSCBI Airport, Kolkata, formally opened the aviation security week on Monday.
Furthermore, a new automated teller machine (ATM) was inaugurated in the arrival area of the airport, signaling ongoing efforts by the AAI to enhance passenger amenities, the authority noted in its statement.
