Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan unveiled a significant investment of Rs 18,000 crore to establish 100 export-oriented horticulture clusters over the next five years. This initiative aims to boost farm income and set a near-term roadmap for the sector.

In response to criticisms, Chouhan launched a fierce attack on the Congress party, accusing it of failing the agricultural sector during its rule. Chouhan also introduced a Rs 6,800 crore oilseeds mission intending to reduce India's dependency on imported cooking oils.

His speech, amid uproar from opposition members, highlighted the Modi government's accomplishments and future plans, including the integration of 1,500 more mandis with the e-NAM platform and amendments to pesticide management legislation.
