Logistics player BookMyCargo has forayed into the domestic business-to-consumer (B2C) segment to amplify its market presence, aiming for a Rs 100 crore topline by FY30, a company official revealed.

Founded in 2016, the Gurugram-based BookMyCargo (BMC) has been operating in the business-to-business (B2B) arena, serving sectors such as FMCG, consumer goods, and pharma, among others.

''In 2016, demand for same-day deliveries was below 1 per cent. It is projected to rise to 22 per cent by 2025. We have ventured into the B2C segment to tap this growth and expand our presence,'' stated BookMyCargo Founder J D Yadav.

The company has also initiated B2C services in Thailand, covering 75 provinces in the Southeast Asian nation.

As of March 2024, the company reported a turnover of Rs 12.3 crore, Yadav said.

''With the new segment, our goal is to nearly double this fiscal year's turnover and target Rs 100 crore over the next five years,'' he added.

Discussing the Union Budget, he highlighted that the Rs 11.11 lakh crore capex earmarked by the Finance Minister for infrastructure will fuel investments in development projects, creating numerous job opportunities.

He noted the government's initiatives to establish more e-commerce export hubs and integrated industrial parks will enhance manufacturing output, boost domestic consumption, and invigorate trade and logistics activity in the country.
