The MeT centre in Jaipur has forecasted heavy monsoon rains to sweep across many parts of eastern Rajasthan over the next four to five days. There is a strong likelihood of significant rainfall in areas including Bharatpur, Jaipur, Kota, Ajmer, and Udaipur, according to the centre's director Radheshyam Sharma.

Sharma also indicated that moderate rains are expected in some parts of Bikaner and Jodhpur divisions, while the weather will stay mostly dry along the border regions. This weather pattern is attributed to a depression in the Bay of Bengal that has advanced over northern Chhattisgarh and is expected to move northwest and weaken by the evening.

In the past 24 hours, heavy rains were recorded in districts like Dausa, Karauli, Sirohi, Dungarpur, Baran, and Sawai Madhopur. Notably, the highest rainfall was 100 mm in Phaloj (Dungarpur). Severe rain in Sawai Madhopur led to tourist evacuation in the Ranthambore National Park. Recent rainfall statistics include 71 mm in Churu and 34.6 mm in Ajmer.
