Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Wednesday introduced the 'Ladka Bhau' Yojana, a job training and stipend scheme aimed at the youth, during a ceremony in Pandharpur on the occasion of Ashadhi Ekadashi.

The scheme offers financial support to male job seekers: Rs 6,000 for those who have passed class 12, Rs 8,000 for diploma holders, and Rs 10,000 for bachelor's degree holders. The stipend will be provided during their on-job training, which will be funded by the state government.

Addressing the issue of unemployment, Shinde highlighted that this initiative would not only provide financial assistance to the youth but also supply trained manpower to industries. This is the first time such a scheme has been introduced by the state government.
