The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Indore is leading the charge in advancing 6G technology with the development of intelligent receivers, a significant asset for military communication, according to a recent announcement.
These receivers, crafted under the guidance of Professor Suhas Joshi and Dr Swaminathan R, possess the capability to automatically detect modulation, channel coding, and interleaving. This advancement ensures data is transmitted accurately, particularly in environments cluttered with noise, proving crucial for intelligence operations.
The ongoing efforts at IIT Indore aim to create a singular adaptive receiver, a potential game-changer in both telecommunications and military sectors. As Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted, India's swift progress in 6G positions it as the second-largest market for 5G tech.
