Tata Play, India's premier DTH operator, announced on Thursday the expansion of its OTT platform Binge into the Philippines by partnering with Cignal TV's OTT aggregation platform, Cignal Super.

Cignal TV, a leading media and telecommunications firm in the Philippines, is in the test phase of the Cignal Super app, built with Tata Play Binge's cloud technology. The commercial launch is slated to happen in the coming months, according to a joint statement.

This expansion follows Tata Play's collaboration with Bangladesh's Akash Digital TV, as the Tata group firm continues to streamline app development processes for global OTT aggregators using its proprietary cloud technology. Tata Play Binge PaaS allows these aggregators to focus on the core activities of content creation, partnership building, and subscriber acquisition by handling the complexities of service aggregation technology.
