IT giant Infosys has joined forces with Swedish electric car brand Polestar to advance the development of in-car infotainment, software, and user experience, along with cloud-powered digital services.

The partnership will see Infosys set up a global technology hub for Polestar at its Bengaluru development center, according to regulatory filings.

This hub will focus on electric vehicle software development and validation across various domains, including infotainment, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), and telematics, aiming to boost product management and customer engagement for Polestar. The hub will also accelerate direct-to-consumer digital services.

Infosys will leverage in-tech, an engineering R&D services provider it recently acquired, to complement the engagement. Sven Bauer, Head of Software at Polestar, expressed optimism about building automotive competence at the Polestar Tech Hub to support their expanding vehicle portfolio.

On Wednesday, Infosys shares closed at Rs 1,896 each on the BSE, marking a slight decline of 0.09% from the previous close.
