Amazon Web Services (AWS) India has been selected by the Public Sector Bank Alliance (PSBA) to offer cloud computing services to the country's public sector lenders.

PSBA, an umbrella organization formed by 12 public sector banks, acts as a nodal body delivering technology-enabled banking services. Member banks include SBI, Union Bank, PNB, and others. AWS's immediate adoption through PSBA's Community Cloud Services eliminates the need for separate procurement processes for cloud computing requirements.

AWS will provide services through its managed service providers (MSPs) Orient Technologies and Hitachi Systems. At its Empower India event, Amazon CTO Werner Vogels emphasized the need for scalable and efficient digital systems in India. The National Health Authority and Government e-Marketplace are also utilizing AWS solutions to scale digital operations and improve public services.
