Indian Drone Industry to Showcase Capabilities in High-Altitude Event
The Indian drone industry is set to showcase its capabilities for the Indian Army in high-altitude areas during the 'HIM-DRONE-A-THON 2' event in Ladakh on September 17-18. This event will be followed by 'HIMTECH-2024' on September 20-21 in Leh, aimed at discussing and demonstrating new military technologies for high-altitude operations.

The Indian drone industry is preparing to display its advanced drone solutions for the Indian Army in high-altitude regions at the 'HIM-DRONE-A-THON 2' event, scheduled for September 17-18 in Ladakh, senior officials announced on Wednesday.
Hosted by the Indian Army, the event will be held under real terrain and environmental conditions at altitudes between 4000-5000 meters. Following this, the 'HIMTECH-2024' event will take place on September 20-21 in Leh, aimed at exploring new military technologies and innovations for high-altitude applications.
Additional Director General of the Army Design Bureau, Maj Gen C S Mann, highlighted the extreme adversities faced by Indian soldiers in these areas, emphasizing the importance of tailor-made, indigenous drone solutions to meet operational needs. More than 25 drone manufacturers have registered for the event, showcasing a range of capabilities including surveillance, loitering munitions, and electronic warfare.
