The Indian Army conducted a medical camp in the remote villages of Kengia, Mulling, and Hanju Gaon in Assam's Tinsukia district, as part of Operation Sadbhavana. According to a press release, the initiative featured a team of three doctors, including two civilian healthcare professionals and one Army doctor, offering extensive medical services. The services at the camp included medical check-ups, consultations, essential healthcare services, and the distribution of medicines.

In addition to addressing immediate healthcare concerns, the doctors provided education on the importance of preventive health measures. The camp benefitted about 860 locals across various age groups, significantly enhancing the community's health and well-being. This event highlights the Indian Army's unwavering commitment to supporting and uplifting local communities by ensuring healthcare reaches even the most isolated areas, as stated in the release.

Earlier, on December 17, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the Spear Corps of the Indian Army visited the Special National Integration Camp organized by the National Cadet Corps (NCC) in Wokha, Nagaland. This exceptional camp aimed to foster unity and national integration among the youth, assembling NCC cadets nationwide to celebrate India's diverse cultural tapestry. During his visit, the GOC interacted with the cadets, praising their discipline, enthusiasm, and dedication to national integration.

Addressing the attendees, the GOC emphasized the vital role of youth in shaping the country's future and applauded the NCC's efforts in developing leadership, character, and a spirit of service among young citizens, as mentioned in the statement. As part of his visit, the GOC also inaugurated the Nagaland State Day celebrations at the camp. The event showcased Nagaland's rich cultural heritage, featuring traditional dances, music, and exhibitions that highlighted the state's unique identity and contributions to the nation, according to the statement further.

The vibrant celebrations offered cadets an opportunity to experience and appreciate the diversity of India's North-eastern region.
