Ukraine's Drone Boom: A Game-Changer in Modern Warfare

President Volodymyr Zelenskiy announced that Ukraine has made significant progress in drone manufacturing and usage, surpassing Russian deployment in combat. President Volodymyr Zelenskiy revealed on Tuesday that Ukraine is advancing rapidly in the manufacturing and operational deployment of drones, outpacing Russian usage in recent combat scenarios. In his nightly video address, Zelenskiy expressed gratitude to Ukrainian servicemen for effectively utilizing drone technology.

"Our Ukrainian defence forces are already leading the way in this regard, and in July, our forces used more drones than the occupiers," Zelenskiy stated. He stressed the importance of maintaining this trend across all drone types.

Long-range drones are having a strategic impact on the war, the president noted. With Western partners' assistance, Ukraine aims to exceed production plans and manufacture one million drones by 2024. This surge in drone production aligns with increased long-range attacks targeting Russian infrastructure, including oil refineries, signaling a tactical shift in the conflict.
